“Open your mouth for those who cannot speak up, for the rights of all who are oppressed. Open your mouth, judge righteously, defend the rights of the poor and needy.” Proverbs 31:8-9

Ministry is an interesting word. The word has traditionally been understood as “service.” However the Greek word is more than service. It means “a go-between,” a person who “mediates” or “facilitates.” The Latin word was used also of men who were bouncers at a wine party (imagine that).

Ministry at Agape is an opportunity to work with those in the community by empowering others to come to God. We believe that Agape stands in our culture to help people come to God. However, we also try to bring Jesus to our community.

Below are various ministries that we continue to work with in our community.

We also believe that ministry flows from God’s people. Those who have the Spirit within them have the right, the responsibility, and the opportunity to create new ministries and communities to reach others.
